Upwell Builders is a licensed general contractor based in Southern California, focused on high-performance ADUs and compact homes under 800 square feet. We don’t build for volume. We build with intention and combine thoughtful design, efficient construction, and proven materials to create homes that last, perform better, and require less over time.

Where It Started

The Upwell approach is the result of over a decade working across construction, permitting, real estate, and boutique hospitality. We’ve walked hundreds of buildings. We’ve studied what fails and what holds up. From Mediterranean plaster homes to desert retreats, we’ve refined a system that cuts out what doesn’t work and keeps what does.
